Guide Share Europe
The Guide Share Europe shortly GSE is a European user group for IBM - hardware and - software . It organizes more than 1,300 companies that use IBM systems and products in the information technology sector .
The GSE supports its members in the exchange of experience and information, in assessing developments in the field of information technology and offers them opportunities for further training and to influence the product policy of IBM.
The GSE is a non-profit association (under Swiss law). It is divided geographically into 11 regions, below the regions in working groups. The German region is the largest within the GSE. Every year it organizes an annual conference lasting several days, as well as other events on special topics.
The working groups in the German region are structured on a subject-specific basis; so there are B. Working groups on the following areas
- Hardware ( PSeries )
- Operating system ( Z / OS , Linux , z / VM , z / VSE )
- Database system ( DB2 , IMS , CICS )
- Network (Network Management, Network Services)
- Software ( WebSphere , MQSeries , Tivoli Workload Scheduler, REXX )
- Information security ( RACF and Enterprise Security, Data Protection / Data Security)
- Product-independent topics (Quality Management, IT Services, Reporting and Accounting)
The working groups also meet once or twice a year.
