Guinea Current
The Guinea Current is an eastward, warm ocean current in the Atlantic Ocean off the south coast of West Africa.
The Guinea Current is the equatorial countercurrent of the Atlantic. Off the equatorial West Africa, it creates an endless cloud cover with its warm water and is responsible for the wettest area in Africa with up to five meters of precipitation per year.
