Guiping
Guiping ( Chinese 桂平市 , pinyin Guiping Shì ; Zhuang Gveibingz Si ) is a city of the Chinese autonomous region of Guangxi . It is a county-level city in the administrative area of the prefecture -level city of Guigang . In 1999 it had 1,590,048 inhabitants.
The Jintian uprising (1851) at the beginning of the Sino-Christian kingdom of the Taiping movement broke out in the Guiping village of Jintian .
The site of the Jintian Uprising at the beginning of the Heavenly Kingdom of Eternal Peace (Taiping Empire) ( Jintian qiyi dizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-2) since 1961 .
