Michael Nutter
Michael Anthony "Mike" Nutter (born June 29, 1957 in Cobbs Creek, Philadelphia) was the 98th Mayor of Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , USA . He was elected to succeed John Street on November 6, 2007 and sworn in on January 7, 2008. In 2012 he was re-elected for a second term. He is a member of the Democrats . Before being elected mayor, he served on the Philadelphia City Council from 1992 to 2006.
