Gunda (potato)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gunda

Gunda (Solanum tuberosum L. cv. Gunda) is an early, floury-boiling potato variety with an oval tuber shape, yellow flesh, flat to medium eyes and a slightly wet skin. Due to the long dormancy and the low tendency to black spots, Gunda can be stored well. The variety is particularly suitable for mashed potatoes and dumplings , soups, stews, cakes and desserts.

It is best suited for retail and direct sales and was selected in 2015 by the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Agriculture as the reference variety for floury potatoes.
