Gunnar Winkler (football player)

Gunnar Winkler (* 1974 ) is a former German football player .

career

Winkler, who first played with the Wernigerode Mountain Tigers and then the Magdeburg Virgin Guards , joined the Braunschweig Lions in 2003 . He was German runner-up with Lower Saxony in 2003 and 2004, and in 2003 he was part of the team that won the Eurobowl . In 2005, 2006 and 2007 he then celebrated the German championship title with Braunschweig. After the end of the 2007 game year, the defensive player left Braunschweig.

National team

With the German national team, he won the World Games in 2005 and was appointed to the top selection of the tournament. In the same year he was second in the European Championship with the selection. Winkler also took part in the 2007 World Cup and achieved bronze with the German team.
