Gurudwara Baba Atal

The Gurdwara Baba Atal is a Sikh sanctuary in Amritsar , Punjab . It is not far from the Golden Temple and can be reached on foot from there. The temple was built about two centuries ago and serves in memory of Baba Atal Rai, the son of Guru Har Gobind . The nine floors of the building are intended to commemorate the nine years of Baba Atal Rai's life up to his untimely death in 1628.
