Gustav Mahler Complete Edition

The Gustav Mahler Complete Edition was initiated by the International Gustav Mahler Society (IGMG) with the aim of publishing all works by the composer Gustav Mahler in the form of a scholarly and critical edition . The first volume was published in 1960, for Mahler's 100th birthday, his 7th symphony , edited by Erwin Ratz . Stephen E. Hefling ( Cleveland , Ohio ) has been in charge of the edition since May 8, 2012 . The edition appears in the Universal Edition and in the music publisher CF Peters .

The edition so far comprises 14 volumes and 4 supplement volumes. Most of the symphonies are already available in newer editions.
