The Good Schmabek is a former farm in Itzehoe . The buildings of the estate were demolished in 2009/2010 except for a storage barn that was still rented out. The farm is not identical to the Schmabek poultry farm about a kilometer away .

The estate took its name from the area, which in turn is named after the Schmabek stream that flows through the area. For a long time the Schmabeker lands were only used selectively and periodically; In 1641 a sheep farm was set up, which operated for over a century. In the second half of the 18th century, four leasehold farms were laid out in the area, of which, however, only the land area later known as the Blauer Lappen survived. Instead of the other farms, the Schmabek estate was built from 1828 onwards , which for a long time was the property of the Steinburg district , which is also the forest owner of the Schmabek district forest . In the years 2009/2010 the buildings, which had increasingly fallen into disrepair after the end of economic operation, were demolished because they were in disrepair.
