Gute Stube stands for:
- a representative (sleeping) room in the rural world, which was only used on certain occasions (e.g. wedding night , laying out of the dead).
- a living room , a neat living room and lounge
- Colloquially for some central squares in cities, such as Pariser Platz in Berlin or Prinzipalmarkt in Münster
Good room is the earlier name
- of the seaman's club in Bremerhaven, today the seaman's club Welcome
