The Guyou Islands ( French Îles Guyou ) are a group of two islands off the Danco Coast of the West Antarctic Graham Lands . The Isla Grande and the Islote Chico lying 3 km northeast of Sonia Point in Flanders Bay .
Participants in the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) led by the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery first mapped them. It is named after the French mathematician Emile Guyou (1843–1915), who played a key role in the publication of the geomagnetic measurement results of the research trip .
