Gyllhögarna

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gyllhögarna are four large Bronze Age burial mounds . They are in a row at Stora Kulladal farm south of the parish Gylle and northeast of Trelleborg in Skåne in Sweden .

The largest is around 27 m in diameter and 4.5 m high. On the hill a boulder lies with the Felsritzung a sole . On another there are several stones - (like on the burial mound in Aggebo Hegn ). Between the second and third hill there were remains of a dolmen , which in the past had been removed from the depression without investigation. In 1913, 103 large stones were found west of one of the hills that were so deep that they could be plowed over.

Legends are associated with the hills.

In the municipality of Trelleborg there are u. a. also the Annarpshögen (Gylle 1-1), the Bonhög, the Brytestuhög (Hammarlöv 7-1) and the Josephs Högar.
