Håkan Lans

Anders Håkan Lans (born November 2, 1947 in Enskede ) is a Swedish engineer and inventor.

He invented the color graphics processor (US Patent 4,303,986 Data processing system and apparatus for color graphics display ) and the graphics tablet.

He also invented the multiple access method STDMA (Self Organization Time Division Multiple Access), which z. B. in the radio systems Automatic Identification System and VDL Mode 4 is used.

He has spent the past ten years in a patent dispute over his computer graphics. Some companies such as Compaq, Gateway and Hewlett Packard failed to pay royalties and allegedly infringed the patent. He then sued as a private person because of the patent infringements. Defendants countered that the patents were assigned to his company, Uniboard AB, and he lost the lawsuit.

He also owns GP&C Systems International AB .
