The Hôtel-Dieu de Québec is a teaching hospital of the Laval University located in Québec . It was founded in 1639 by the Augustines de la Miséricorde de Jésus ( Canons ), making it the oldest hospital in North America north of Mexico. It has been on the National Historic Sites of Canada since 1936 . The hospital is affiliated to the Center hospitalier universitaire de Québec network.
