from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Höllwieslift is a ski lift near Oberstdorf in Germany . It is located on the eastern slope of the Söllereck and has a total length of 2.5 kilometers. The facility, opened in 1962, is considered the longest ski drag lift in Germany. It was initially built for a capacity of 500 people per hour for 600,000 DM. In 1970 the system was sold to the Söllereckbahn to enable an increase in capacity. Today the facility has a capacity of 950 people per hour and is no longer up to date. The planning of a detachable 6-seater chairlift in two sections is in progress.
