The HörGut GmbH , based in Dortmund was in the distribution of hearing aids and related products as well as related services company whose one branch system comprised some 130 specialty shops within Germany. The company was taken over by Sonova Holding in 2016 .

HörGut GmbH was founded at the beginning of 2006 under the name Hearing Comfort Germany as a subsidiary of the Dutch HAL Investments group. On November 9, 2007, Hearing Comfort Germany was renamed HörGut GmbH . From 2010 to 2016 HörGut was part of Geers Hearing Acoustics .

HörGut GmbH is part of the HAL Investment Group, which bundles its Europe-wide hearing acoustics activities under the umbrella of AudioNova International . Sister companies of HörGut GmbH are Schoonenberg in the Netherlands, MiniSom in Portugal, AudioNova France, AudioNova Denmark, AudioNova Belgium and AudioNova Italy.
HörGut has specialist stores, the so-called HörGut hearing centers, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony, Thuringia, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate, with the branch density in North Rhine-Westphalia, in particular Wuppertal, Essen and Münster, is highest.
Private label
In addition to hearing aids from various brand manufacturers such as B. Siemens and Oticon offered HörGut its own brand under the name NovaSense . NovaSense hearing aids were offered in five different versions: free of charge, basic, comfort, comfort + and top class. An all-round insurance of hearing aids was called HörKomfortPlan or HörKomfortPlan Plus.
