Listener (from 'to hear') means:
- the telephone receiver
- the headphones
- as listener or recipient the addressee of an acoustic message
- the radio participant (radio listener)
- the participant of an academic course, see also guest auditor / trainee
- in the Skat game the player after the dealer, see forehand (Skat)
- the officer's auditor as a military participant in an academic course
