The Höversbytunnel was the only tunnel in the narrow-gauge railway network of Östergötland and was built in 1878 by Norsholm – Bersbo järnväg (NBJ). With the purchase of Norsholm Ristens kommunikationsbolag , which belonged to the NBJ, ownership and operation of the route and the 50-meter-long tunnel passed to Norsholm – Västervik – Hultsfreds Järnvägar on January 1, 1921 .
location
The tunnel is located one kilometer south of Höversby near Losjön. After the line was closed on September 27, 1964, the tracks were removed.
