HC Milano
The Hockey Club Milano was an Italian ice hockey club from Milan . The club was founded in 1924 and was one of those who founded Serie A as the highest Italian ice hockey league in 1924 . Over the years of its existence it has been renamed several times, first in Associazione Disco Ghiaccio Milano and later in Hockey Club Milano Inter . The club was dissolved in 1956.
history
In the year after it was founded, HC Milano became the first Italian ice hockey champion and remained so until 1934. Only in 1928 and 1929 was no championship held, and in 1932 the championship had to be left to SG Cortina . In 1935 the club was renamed Associazione Disco Ghiaccio Milano (ADGM). After the 1937/38 season, pressure from the Italian Ice Sports Association (FISG) merged with HC Diavoli Rossoneri Milano and the Associazione Milanese Disco Ghiaccio Milano - AMDG was created. This was aimed at promoting sport in Italy in preparation for the 1940 Winter Olympics. In 1937, 1938 and 1941 the championship was won again - in 1939 and 1940 no champions were determined.
After the Second World War , the split-off HC Milan also became champions in 1947, 1948 and 1950 and only had to let HC Diavoli Rossoneri Milano take precedence in 1949. Even the club's second team Amateurs Milano was so successful that they took 2nd and 3rd places.
Through an agreement between the clubs, HC Milan became an independent member of the Inter Milan football club in 1950 and henceforth competed as HC Milan Inter . By 1958, five more championship titles had been won.
In 1956 the club was dissolved.
