The Italian Ice Sports Federation ( Italian: F ederazione I taliana S port del G hiaccio or FISG for short , literally translated as the Italian Federation for Ice Sports ) was founded in Milan in November 1926 by merging the three existing associations. These included the Italian Ice Skating Federation ( Federazione Italiana Pattinaggio ), the Italian Ice Hockey Federation ( Federazione Italiana di Hockey ) and the Italian Bobsleigh Federation (Federazione Bob Club d'Italia) . The FISG is now the national Italian umbrella organization for the ice sports Hockey , curling , speed skating , figure skating , short track speed skating and curling . The association is u. a. Member of various international umbrella organizations, so u. a. in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

At the international level, the individual department heads represent the association in the respective sports associations.
