The handball club Westfalia Herne e. V. is a handball club from Herne .
In 1992 the handball department separated from the sports club Westfalia Herne and was founded as SC Westfalia Herne Handball e. V. new. Since 2005 the club is called Handballclub Westfalia Herne e. V.
The first team plays in the Landesliga 3 of the handball association Westphalia. The A-Youth team has been playing in the A-Youth Bundesliga since the 2018/2019 season.
