The HIP PRO Fodbold is the football department of the Danish sports club Hellerup IK (HIK) in Hellerup , north of the capital Copenhagen .
history
The HIK plays in the third highest Danish league, the 2nd division , after the club was relegated from the 1st division in 2009 . In 2011/12 the championship was won, but the promotion playoffs against the winner of the western season, FC Fyn , were lost. There was only one promoted team, as the 1st division was reduced from 14 to 12 teams for the 2012/13 season.
Between 1936 and 1940 HIK belonged to the top division. The best placement in 1939 was eighth.
