HMS Exmoor
Two warships of the British Navy were named HMS Exmoor after Exmoor , a moorland in south-west England :
- HMS Exmoor (L61) was a destroyer escort the Hunt-class , in 1939 and 1941 was launched before Lowestoft was sunk by a German speedboat, wherein 104 crew members died.
- HMS Exmoor (L08) was also a Hunt-class destroyer escort. It was launched in 1941 and was involved in the sinking of the U 131 (1941) and U 450 (1944). In 1952 it was sold to the Danish Navy, where it was named Valdemar Sejr . In 1966 the ship was scrapped in Ystad (Sweden).
