HMS Frolic
Several ships in the British Royal Navy were named HMS Frolic :
- The first HMS Frolic was an 18 cannon sloop that entered service in 1806 and retired in 1813. In the war of 1812 , she became famous for a battle with the American sloop USS Wasp .
- The second HMS Frolic was a 10 gun sloop that was launched in 1820 and sold in 1838.
- The third Frolic was a 16-gun sloop that was launched in 1842 and sold in 1864.
- The fourth HMS Frolic was a screw-propelled gunboat that was launched in 1872, later served as a training ship and guard boat, and was sold in 1908.
- The fifth HMS Frolic was a Lend-Lease - minesweepers , which in 1947 returned to the US Navy and from this later to Turkey was made, where it under the name Candarll stood until 1986 in service.
