HMS Gorgon
Five ships of the British Royal Navy were named HMS Gorgon .
- The first HMS Gorgon was a 5th rank frigate and sailed to New South Wales as a supply ship in 1791
- The second HMS Gorgon was a steam frigate, launched in 1837, broken up in 1864.
- The third HMS Gorgon was a coast guard ship, launched July 8, 1871, abandoned in 1903.
- The fourth HMS Gorgon was a coastal armored ship , originally a Norwegian Bjørgvin class ship under the name Nidaros , it was used in World War I and was sold as scrap in 1928.
- The fifth HMS Gorgon (J346) was a mine sweeper in World War II.
