HMS Meteor
Nine ships of the British Royal Navy were named HMS Meteor .
- HMS Meteor (1797) , a gunboat with 12 guns that was originallyin civil serviceas Lady Cathcart . She was bought in 1797 and sold as Gunboat No. 34 put into service. In 1802 it was sold.
- HMS Meteor (1803) , aneight cannon bombard , originallyin civil serviceas Sarah Ann . It was bought in 1803 and sold again in 1811.
- HMS Starr (1805) , an18-gun sloop launchedas HMS Starr in 1805. It was converted into a bombarde in 1812 and named HMS Meteor . It was sold in 1816.
- HMS Meteor (1823) , an eight-gun bombarde launched in 1823. She was converted into a research ship in 1832 andchristened the HMS Beacon . In 1846 it was sold.
- HMS Meteor (1824) , a wooden paddle steamer launched in 1824 and scrapped in 1861.
- HMS Meteor (1839) , a river gunboat launched in 1839. The whereabouts are unknown.
- HMS Meteor (1855) , a floating battery launched in 1855 and scrapped in 1861.
- HMS Meteor (1914) , a destroyer of the M-Class , which was launched in 1914 and sold the 1,921th
- HMS Meteor (G74) an L- and M-class destroyerlaunched in 1941. It was handed over to the Turkish Navy in 1959 and renamed Piyale Pasha . In 1979 it was deleted from the inventory.
