Various ships of the British Navy were named HMS Unicorn :

  • HMS Unicorn (1544) - Originally a Scottish ship (36 cannons) that was captured by the English in 1544. Sold in 1555.
  • HMS Unicorn (1634) - warship with 56 guns. Sold on January 27, 1687 after participating in all three Anglo-Dutch naval wars . [1]
  • HMS Unicorn (1666) - warship with 6 cannons and around 180 ts displacement, bought in 1666, sunk as a blockade ship in Chatham in June 1667.
  • HMS Unicorn (1748) , a 28-gun sailing frigate used by the Royal Navy in the 18th century. [2]
  • HMS Unicorn (1794) , a 32-gun frigate during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars.
  • HMS Unicorn (1824) , a Leda-class frigate; Commissioned in 1824 and is now a museum ship in Dundee, Scotland.
  • HMS Unicorn (I72) , a light aircraft carrier that participated in World War II and the Korean War.
  • HMS Unicorn (S43) , an Upholder class submarine , commissioned in 1993.
