Haagse Market
The Haagse Markt , also known as Haagse Mart , is the largest weekly market in the Netherlands with around 500 stalls and an average of 40,000 visitors on a normal market day . According to the municipality, this is the largest permanent weekly market in Europe.
The Hague Market is located in The Hague between the Transvaal and Schilderswijk districts, close to the Hoefkade and Hobbemaplein tram stops. It has been in its current location since 1938, when it was decided to relocate the market from Prinsengracht to Herman Costerstraat for reasons of space.
The market is particularly popular with locals for the range of exotic foods, household goods, fabrics and fashion.
The market days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the market is also open on public holidays.
