Haddy Nyang-Jagne
Haddy Nyang-Jagne (often also: Haddy Jagne ) is a Gambian politician.
Life
In the parliamentary elections in Gambia in 2007 she was elected in the constituency of Jeshwang with 76.58% of the vote, ahead of Junkungba Dukureh (UDP, 23.42%). In 2012 she was re-elected with 53.81% before Modou I. Cham (Independent, 46.19%). She was a member of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).
In addition, from 2007 she was posted to the West African Economic Community (ECOWAS) and was President of the ECOWAS Female Parliamentarians Association (ECOFEPA). In 2010 she received the African Star of Excellence Award in Social Development and Integration at the African Women in Leadership Conference in London for her involvement in this parliamentary group .
Around 2014 she worked in the National AIDS Control Program (NACP). In 2015 she completed the Hajj to Mecca.
