The family business was founded in 1916 by Jean Haecky sen. founded in Lucerne . Since 1906 he was mainly active as a hotel owner in the tourism sector. During the war, when tourism was poor, he entered the import business of food, wine and spirits. In 1919 the company moved to Basel . In 1960 the areas of food and drink were divided into two business units and in 1974 the headquarters were relocated to Reinach. With the takeover of the traditional Ticino company Sandro Vanini SA in 1980, Haecky expanded its activities to include food processing in the field of confectionery . Various other takeovers followed from the 1990s, the most important in 2000 with the purchase of the Zurich wine company C. August Egli AG , which increased sales from 95 to around 160 million francs. In 2013, the acquisition of Deliciel AG in Birmenstorf was added, a company specializing in the manufacture and sale of baked goods and confectionery with its own logistics platform and deep-freeze warehouse. In the same year Haecky withdrew from the wine business and celebrated her 100th anniversary in 2016.
