The Halden Prison is the second largest prison in Halden , Norway . It has been in operation since March 1, 2010. It has a total of 252 places. It was designed by the architect Erik Møller . In May 2010, the American magazine Time called the prison "the most humane prison in the world". The facility is designed as a village.
