Hagan (spelling: hagan ) is a brand of the Austrian company of the same name that develops and sells touring skis , bindings and accessories. The name Hagan is derived from the first letters of the family name of the founder ( Hag s) and the original company site ( at tiesenhofen in Upper Austria ) from.

history

Hagan was founded in Antiesenhofen as a wagon factory by the Hager brothers. After the First World War , the product range was switched to skis and toboggans . In Antiesenhofen, the company ran a large ski factory, which was one of the major employers in the northern Innviertel . In the 1990s, snowboards and mountain bikes were also made with the material titanal . After the partner Yamaha dropped out, the company had to file for bankruptcy in 1995 .

Since it was founded in 1995, Hagan has been positioned as an innovative brand in the touring ski segment, with the skis being manufactured by external companies. At the ISPO (International Trade Fair for Sportswear and Sportswear) 2015, Hagan presented the world's first touring set for children. Hagan is now one of the well-known brands in the touring ski sector with international sales and sponsorship in the area of ​​ski mountaineering.
