The Hagström Metropolis C is a solid body electric guitar by the Swedish musical instrument manufacturer Hagström , which is produced in China.

construction

The body shape is a flat top single cutaway body made of Empress ( bluebell tree ) which is similar to that of a Gibson Les Paul . The screwed maple neck in the D-profile is equipped with the in-house Resinator Tonewood fingerboard, which is made from laminated Finnish birch and has 22 frets. The H-shaped neck tie rod (H-Expander) is also an in-house development by Hagström .

Furnishing

As a pickup , Hagström uses open, matched Custom 58C humbuckers in the bridge and neck position combined with a 3-way toggle switch and a volume and tone potentiometer . The characteristic headstock is equipped with closed tuning mechanisms with a gear ratio of 15: 1, a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece, a three-layer pickguard and a Tusq saddle from Graph Tech are installed. The scale length is 25.50 inches or 648 mm. The Hagström Metropolis C is available in the colors Black Gloss, Creme, Italian Red and as a left-handed model in Black Gloss. The Hagström Metropolis S is an almost identical single coil version of the guitar .
