Hahnenkamm (pastries)

The Hahnenkamm is a palm-sized baked goods, due to its characteristic form, the one named Hahnenkamm resembles receives. The typical shape is created through even incisions on one side edge and the slightly curved dough pocket before baking.

The pastry is a dough pocket made of puff pastry or Danish pastry , which is filled with jam or fruit preparation (often made from apples or plums), marzipan , persipan or nut filling and covered with icing .
