Haimenkou
The Haimenkou site ( Japanese 海 门口 遗址 Haimenkou yizhi ) is an archaeological site from the late Neolithic to the Bronze Age in Haimenkou, Jianchuan County , Yunnan Province .
It was excavated in 1957 and 1978 and has been named the oldest Bronze Age site in Yunnan . During recent excavations in 2008, 3000 year old charred wheat grains were discovered here.
