The HAINZL Industrial Systems GmbH is an Austrian family with headquarters in Linz. The system provider in fluid, automation and building technology. is mainly active in the fields of energy and power plant technology, renewable energy technology, metal production and processing, mechanical and plant engineering, special vehicle construction and technical building equipment. The subsidiary SAWI Electronic Ges.mbH is also active in the armaments business. There are several subsidiaries abroad in Germany.

history

In 1965 the company of engineers Hainzl & Bauer was founded in Linz-Urfahr. The first units were manufactured there on a farm. In 1970 the company moved to its current location on Industriezeile in Linz. In 1980 the 100th employee was hired. Five years later, the Hainzl family took over 100% of the company and renamed it HAINZL Industriesysteme. Since then, the location in the Linz industrial line has been expanded. The last major extension took place in 2009. In 1993 HAINZL started the company Kappa Filter Systems in Steyr together with Klaus Krüger. This develops and produces filters for industrial air pollution control. 1993 began the development of fire fighting systems using high pressure water mist, which are offered under the brand "Aquasys". In 2017, HAINZL employed 750 people and achieved a group output of 135 million euros.

Awards & prizes

In 1990 HAINZL was granted the right to use the national coat of arms of the Republic of Austria. The Austrian Physical Society awarded the “AVL List Prize” in 1991 for the successful collaboration between the University of Linz and Hainzl Industriesysteme.

In 2012 HAINZL received the Anton Benya Prize for its apprentice workshop, which was presented personally by the Federal President. Above all, the good cooperation between the works council, training management and management was recognized in this project. In this way, significant improvements for the apprentices could be agreed, such as B. learning aids, group dynamic activities and a cash reward for good final apprenticeship exams.

In 2013 the HAINZL training workshop received another award and received the INEO award from the WKOÖ.

In 2015 HAINZL received three awards: the AVL Supplier Award 2014 in the "Supply Excelence" category, the 2015 award for traditional Linz company and the award for "Linz Company of the Year 2015" from the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
