Hajime Mizoguchi

Hajime Mizoguchi ( Japanese 溝口 肇 , Mizoguchi Hajime ; born April 23, 1960 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese cellist and composer. He was married to Yōko Kanno .

Life

Mizoguchi learned to play the piano at the age of three and play the cello at the age of eleven. From 1978 to 1985 he studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music . During this time he worked as a studio musician for film, radio and CD productions. In 1982 Mizoguchi was involved in a car accident that he dealt with while composing music. In 1986 he released his first album Half Inch Dessert .
