The haladie is a multi-bladed dagger from India . It was originally used by the Rajput people and has found wider distribution in India, Persia, Sudan and areas in between.
history
The haladie was developed by the Rajputs for attack and defense.
description
The haladie consists of two dagger blades. These are double (S-shaped) curved, double-edged and have a strong central ridge. The edge of the blade can be smooth or jagged. The length of the two dagger blades is about 22 cm each. The total length about 60 cm. The blades are connected opposite one another by a handle. The handle is made of wood, horn, metal or ivory. The blade ends a hand guard may be appropriate to the case of an attack as a parry is used. In some versions, a small pushing blade is attached to the hand guard, the length of which is about 10 cm. A similar dagger is used in Arabia.
