Container with half-pipe coil in production

A half-pipe coil is a half-shell-shaped pipe segment that is placed around a mostly cylindrical container and welded to the container wall. A liquid or vaporous medium flows through the half-pipe coil and is used to heat or cool the contents of the container.

Special molded parts, so-called flow funnels, are used to connect full pipes to the half pipe profiles .

Alternatives

Alternatives to the half-pipe coil are the full-pipe coil and the double jacket . The double jacket can also be designed as a " wart jacket ".
