The Half Moon Bluff is a rock cliff in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Cumulus Hills of the Queen Maud Mountains , it rises on the eastern flank of the Shackleton Glacier immediately north of the confluence of the Brunner Glacier .
Participants of the Texas Tech University expedition to Shackleton Glacier (1964–1965) named the cliff because it is crescent-shaped when viewed from the air .
