Radio amateurs should also dedicate themselves internationally to the spirit of openness to the world, enthusiasm for technology, tolerance, humanity and selfless willingness to help. The aim and purpose of the amateur radio service is science and research, education and training, international understanding, but also to support the authorities in setting up communication links in the event of a disaster.

The radio amateurs act according to the rules of the Ham Spirit regardless of social differences such as skin color, language, religion or political convictions of the interlocutor. No political, religious, military or commercial purposes are pursued in the amateur radio service.
