Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan ( Arabic حمدان بن زايد آل نهيان, DMG Ḥamdān b. Zāyid Āl Nahyān ; * 1963 ) is a politician, businessman and member of the ruling family in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates . He is the representative of the emir in the western region of Abu Dhabi.

He is the fourth son of the UAE's founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan . His older brother, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is the current Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. He is married to the Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan .

As Minister of Industry, he heads the state-owned Abu Dhabi MAR , which acquired the majority in the German company Blohm + Voss from ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems in October 2009 .

In 2002 he banned boys from working as camel jockey .

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan should not be confused with Hamdan bin Raschid Al Maktum from the neighboring emirate of Dubai.
