Jennifer Thanisch

Jennifer Thanisch (born April 24, 1964 in Laleham , Middlesex ) is a former English actress .

She became known across Europe at the end of the 1970s for the role of Anne Kirrin from the television series Five Friends .

Life

Jennifer Thanisch grew up in Laleham, where her parents ran a pub called Three Horseshoes . She had her first film role in 1973 in the horror film The Tomb of the Living Dolls with Christopher Lee and Joan Collins . However, she did not gain a certain fame until the mid-1970s through the role as Susie, the daughter of inspector Jack Regan, in the series Die Füchse ( The Sweeney ).

She only became known across Europe through her impersonation of Anne Kirrin in the television series Five Friends , which appeared between 1978 and 1979. In the series, which was particularly successful in Germany and was repeated several times, she was seen in the film for the last time.

Today she lives near Lewes , Sussex . She is married, has two grown children and is a religion teacher at an English primary school.

She is no longer active as an actress. At the end of 2008, however, she was on television again, in a special ( Famous Five revisited ) to mark the 50th anniversary of Independent Television ( ITV ) in the south of England. Here she met her fellow actor Marcus Harris from the series Five Friends and talked about the filming of that time. The special aired on the Meridian Tonight and Thames Valley Tonight news programs.
