Hamengkubuwono
Hamengkubuwono (also Hamengkubuwana ) is the name of the ruling dynasty of sultans in the Indonesian region of Yogyakarta . The Sultanate of Yogyakarta was created in 1755 when the kingdom of Mataram was divided and came under the protection of the Dutch East Indies in the course of the 19th century . After Indonesia's independence , the sultan became governor of the Yogyakarta region in 1950.
