The Hamersley Range is a mountainous region in the Pilbara region in the Australian state of Western Australia .

It extends 460 km south from the Fortescue River in the northeast. Western Australia's highest point, the 1250  m high Mount Meharry , lies in the mountain range.

The mountains are characterized by numerous erosion gorges such as the Wittenoom Gorge .

The Karijini National Park (formerly "Hamersley National Park"), one of Australia's largest national parks , extends around the mountains.

The mountain range has rich iron ore deposits and is the main area of iron ore mining in Australia . Mines, mining settlements and railway lines of the major Western Australian mining companies can therefore be found along the mountain range.
