Hammer forge Grafing

The hammer forge Grafing was founded in Grafing b. Munich and was used as a forge until 1977. It is a listed building .

After the death of the last blacksmith Johann Prabst, the forging business was stopped and the building became increasingly dilapidated. The new owner restored the building, which was in danger of collapsing, from 1989 to 1993. The forge became a residential building. The Europa Nostra Medal was awarded in 1994 for the successful restoration .
