Hand vehicle

Hand vehicles are land vehicles that are pulled or pushed by human hands.

These include hand truck with or without a drawbar (Pedestrian eg carts , even in carts -version, excluding towbar as Marktchaisen , strollers , doll carriage , baggage carts or cart ), handcarts (eg Schottsche carts , wheelbarrows , hand trucks or Carretti a mano ) and the same.

According to Section 17 (5) of the (German) StVO , a pedestrian who carries hand vehicles or single-axle tractors or machines on bars does not have to be at least one that is clearly visible to the front and rear during twilight, in the dark or when visibility conditions otherwise require it Mount or wear a dazzling lamp with white light on the left side. According to § 17 Paragraph 4 Clause 4 of this Road Traffic Regulations, vehicles that can be removed from the roadway without difficulty - which also explicitly includes hand vehicles - may not be left unlit in the dark. However, the aforementioned regulations pursuant to § 24 paragraph 1 of this traffic regulations do not apply to strollers and similar non- motor- powered means of transportation ; the regulations for pedestrian traffic (in particular § 25 StVO) apply accordingly to traffic with these means of transport .
