Hanka Island is an island off the Danco coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . In Paradise Harbor , it is near the head of Leith Cove .

The Scottish geologist David Ferguson (1857-1936) named it after the whaler Hanka , with whom he had sailed the waters around this island between 1913 and 1914.
