Hans-Georg Babke

Hans-Georg Babke (* 1951 in Salzgitter-Bad ) is a German Protestant theologian.

Babke studied theology and philosophy from 1970 to 1976. From 1978 to 1982 he was parish pastor in Goslar-Oker, from 1982 to 1985 assistant in the education department of the church office in Hanover, from 1985 to 1999 school priest at the high school in Salzgitter-Bad, from 1999 to 2001 deputy head of the office for religious education and media work of Evangelisch -Lutherischen Landeskirche Braunschweig, since 2001 head of the Office for Religious Education and Media of the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church Braunschweig. In 2015 the University of Hildesheim appointed him honorary professor for Protestant theology. He is married and has two children.
