societies

Hans-Rudi Brugger, who grew up in St. Leonhard in Passeier , made it into the professional squad of FC Südtirol in 1998 and was active there until 2011, most recently in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione (3rd division). After Brugger had undergone a meniscus operation on his knee in February 2011 and was unable to do so for a long time, the long-time captain of the only professional football club in South Tyrol made the decision to leave the club after long years of membership in the summer of 2011 after a conflict with the sports director. He then moved to FC St. Martin in the South Tyrolean regional league, with which he rose to the upper league. Brugger ended his career there in 2015.
